AUDAX NIGERIA : A CITADEL OF INNOVATION

A training session.

It  is not a coincidence that Lagos Study Programme was kicked off  at Audax Solutions limited Lekki. The 5th of September will remain a point of reference in the annals of equipping the youth with the most valuable skills in this century.
The 20th-century economy was anchored on the natural resources while the 21st economy is based on  ideas and innovations. The ICT is setting the pace in this regards. While some countries are making progress others are unacceptably lagging  behind. In order to bridge the gap, there is a need for a rugged approach, and  Audax Nigeria  is championing this cause.

The programme currently in its 8th week of running has exposed the participants to the rudiments of Web development  in HTML, CSS and Javascript as well as other programming languages necessary for building world class projects. The acquired skills are being applied to the building of creative and impressive projects . Among these are tribute pages, which seek to further immortalise a chosen hero, portfolios that showcase individual's areas of expertise, digital and social marketing projects. Random quote machines that display words in a controlled manner and weather apps showing weather reports are other software products developed by the participants. It is not only about technicality but also, management skills that software development requires for efficient and effective functionality. For this reason, soft skills were incorporated into the curriculum.

Specialisation breeds depth and expertise. In the view of the foregoing,  the organisers have meticulously segmented the study into three groups namely Front-end development , Back-end development,  and Digital Marketing.

This strategy is being painstakingly executed and the tempo of the game has been increased as the participants are  being exposed to real life experiences. It is just a matter of time that we will write our own fashion of success stories. This will not happen overnight. But with Audax Nigeria, we are good to go! It behoves on all other stakeholders to expand the frontiers in the ICT.

The Lagos State Government through the Ministry of wealth creation and Employment, Andela, Etisalat, and  Google are all partners in this progress.

Thanks.
