President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, announced the portfolios of ministers immediately after they were sworn in.
On the list, the president announced former Lagos State governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, as the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, while former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant Abdulrahman Dambazzau, was named the Minister of Interior. Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Audu Ogbeh, was named Minister of Agriculture.
Former Commissioner in Ogun State, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, was named the Minister of Finance, while the former Ekiti State governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, was named the Minister of Solid Minerals. The former Rivers State governor, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, was named the Minister of Transportation.
The Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr Ibe Kachikwu was named Minister of State for Petroleum Resources while the president announced himself as the substantive Minister of Petroleum Resources.
