According to a statement released today June 30,2015 from the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi. President Buhari has appointed Mrs Amina Bala Zakari as the Acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Mrs Zakari takes over from Professor Jega whose tenure as the Commission's Chairman ended today until the appointment of a substantive Chairman.
